Il sequel di Jay & Silent Bob… Fermate Hollywood! è andato in produzione all’inizio di questo mese, e sembra che il regista / co-protagonista Kevin Smith abbia condiviso emozionanti intuizioni sul film quasi ogni giorno dall’inizio della produzione.

Le ultime notizie sul reboot Jay and Silent Bob arrivano dall’account Instagram di Kevin Smith, che ha condiviso una foto di se stesso e Jason Mewes (Jay) con il famoso Chris Jericho. Jericho è meglio conosciuto per le apparizioni nella WWE tra il 1999 e il 2018, ma è anche apparso in film prima d’ora, incluso MacGruber. Smith ha menzionato l’apparizione di Jericho in Kilroy, Here in the post, che è un’antologia horror / commedia in arrivo. Jericho ha anche pubblicato l’esperienza sul proprio Instagram la scorsa settimana.

I was there when #y2jayandsilentbob happened! @chrisjerichofozzy joined #jayandsilentbobreboot last week in a scene stolen from some of the 80’s road movies I grew up watching! This was the first time @jaymewes shared screen time with #rawisjericho but it’s the second time I’ve worked with the #fozzy frontman (the first being on the forthcoming horror anthology #killroywashere). And both times, this super sweet Canadian kid has been cast waaaaay against type. If I ever get to make another movie after this one, I told Chris he’s gonna be a good guy (maybe we’ll finally do that Canadian James Bond comedy we talked about on the podcast that one time). After today, we only have 8 shooting days left on @jayandsilentbob Reboot, which is basically the entire third act. I’ve got 40 minutes of the movie already edited and I’ll cut more this weekend. Thanks to @dpronlevy, the movie is way better than I even wanted it to be (Reboot is easily one of my best looking movies to date). Jay And Silent Bob: una nuova foto dal dietro le quinte del reboot

Il post di Smith, quindi, suggerisce ulteriori aggiornamenti circa i cameo del reboot di Jay and Silent Bob. Finora, il regista aveva annunciato il ritorno di alcuni attori amati dai fan. Recentemente ha condiviso una foto con Brian O’Halloran sul set. L’attore ha recitato nel primo lungometraggio di Smith, Clerks, nel 1994 e ha continuato ad apparire in molti dei suoi film.I fan possono anche aspettarsi di vedere Jason Lee. Smith ha stuzzicato uno sguardo a Secret Stash di Brodie, il negozio di proprietà del personaggio di Lee, Mallrats, in Jay & Silent Bob…Fermate Hollywood!

Ha anche annunciato un cameo del duo hip-hop Method Man and Red Man, e il ritorno di un’attrice del primo film, Shannon Elizabeth. Smith ha rivelato ulteriori aggiunte al cast del reboot di Jay and Silent Bob la scorsa settimana, tra cui Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Craig Robinson (The Office), Frankie Shaw (SMILF), Justin Long (Tusk) e Jordan Monsanto (produttore di diversi progetti di Smith). Ci sarà anche una nuova gang di ragazze.

Secondo la descrizione della trama di IMDB, il reboot di Jay and Silent Bob segue Jay e Silent Bob mentre “tornano a Hollywood per interrompere il reboot del film Bluntman and Chronic.” Il nuovo film dovrebbe essere rilasciato in autunno.
