Non è un segreto che un sequel diretto di Jay and Silent Bob è stato qualcosa che Kevin Smith desiderava da molto tempo, ottenendo finalmente finanziamenti e un distributore per il film nell’ultimo anno. Il film ha recentemente terminato le riprese principali e, successivamente, Smith e la star Jason Mewes hanno offerto una sincera dichiarazione su cosa abbia significato per loro riunirsi per un reboot.

“Abbiamo lasciato Jersey molto tempo fa, non nei nostri cuori, ovviamente, ma come se fossimo usciti fisicamente dal luogo e siamo andati così lontano” Smith ha detto in precedenza sul film a lunga gestazione. “Probabilmente non andremo in nessuno di questi posti senza incontrare Jason Mewes.”

“Sono terribile nel parlare alla telecamera quando si tratta di condividere e scoprire il mio cuore“, ha aggiunto Jason Mewes. “Questa è una f*****a fine della riprese per Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, e adoro questo ragazzo e lo bacerò, vedrete.“

Lo stesso Smith aveva precedentemente rivelato a EW che il film avrebbe contenuto tre diversi Batman e, a giudicare dal trailer, due di questi sono Affleck e Val Kilmer.
