Dopo Arrival e Stranger Things, Shawn Levy produrrà l'horror Infinity Reel con la sua 21 Laps Entertainment. Il progetto è stato acquistato dalla Paramount.
Oltre a dirigere film, Shawn Levy passa parecchio tempo a cercare progetti interessanti da produrre e Infinity Reel è uno di questi.
Il regista di Real Steel e della trilogia di Una notte al museo produrrà il film horror scritto da Adam D’Alba, che è stato appena acquistato dalla Paramount Pictures. Levy ricoprirà il ruolo assieme a Dan Levine e Dan Cohen con la sua 21 Laps Entertainment. Alla casa di produzione dobbiamo lavori quali Arrival di Denis Villeneuve e la serie TV Stranger Things targata Netflix.

Secondo The Hollywood Reporter, la storia di Infinity Reel “segue un investigatore del paranormale che viene attirato in un villaggio impazzito a causa di un fenomeno bizzarro. Questi eventi hanno un misterioso legame con il passato del detective.”
La sceneggiatura è basata sul pilot che Adam D’Alba ha realizzato per eOne. La 21 Laps produrrà Infinity Reel assieme a Benedict Carver della Bullitt Entertainment.
L’ultimo film diretto da Shawn Levy è stato Notte al museo – Il segreto del faraone, atto finale della trilogia con protagonista Ben Stiller. Il regista tornerà dietro la macchina per girare l’adattamento del videogioco Uncharted e il remake di Starman. Levy ha inoltre ammesso più volte di voler realizzare un sequel di Real Steel.
