People’s Choice Awards 2016 – dominano Fast and Furious 7 e The Big Bang Theory
I People’s Choice Awards 2016 sono satti finalmente annunciati nel corso di una trasmissione in diretta condotta da Jane Lynch (“Angel From Hell”) presso il Microsoft Theater mercoledì 6 gennaio sulla CBS.
Fast and Furious 7 ha preso il massimo dei voti nella categoria “Film Preferito” ritirato dalla star Vin Diesel, mentre Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, Chris Hemsworth, Dakota Johnson e Melissa McCarthy sono stati tra i grandi vincitori per la recitazione nel cinema. Nelle categorie televisive, The Big Bang Theory ha portato a casa il “Favorite Network TV Comedy” per il quarto anno consecutivo, mentre Jim Parsons si è beccato il riconoscimento come “Miglior attore comico televisivo”. Grey’s Anatomy ha ottenuto il “Dramma Network TV ” e Ellen Pompeo è stata scelta come”Miglior Attrice Drammatica televisiva”. Nella musica, Shawn Mendes era a disposizione per accettare il premio per “Favorite Breakout Artist” che ha eseguito con ed eseguire con Camila Cabello di Fifth Harmony, e Jason Derulo è salito sul palco per eseguire un medley dei suoi successi. E, per la prima volta, sono stati annunciati i vincitori di categoria digitali tra cui Britney Spears per “Favorite Social Media Celebrity” e Matt Bellassai per “Favorite Social Media Star”.

I People’s Choice Awards 2016 hanno visto la presentazione del quarto premio annuale per “Favorite Humanitarian”, presentata da Walgreens a Ellen DeGeneres. Ospedale pediatrico St. Jude è stato selezionato come beneficiario della donazione. Vincitori delle passate edizioni di questo premio sono Sandra Bullock nel 2013, Jennifer Hudson nel 2014 e Ben Affleck nel 2015. DeGeneres ha vinto anche “Host Favorite Daytime TV”.
