Arrowverse – Elizabeth Tulloch commenta il casting come Lois Lane

Elizabeth Tulloch, che interpreterà Lois Lane nel crossover Arrowverse, ha commentato il suo casting

L’ex star di Grimm, Elizabeth Tulloch, reciterà al fianco di Tyler Hoechlin nei panni di Superman, come Lois Lane nell’epico e atteso crossover annuale dell’Arrowverse!

Non sappiamo esattamente in quanti episodi l’attrice apparirà nei panni della Lane. Il Superman di Hoechlin sarà presente in tutti e tre gli episodi crossover live-action dei franchise televisivi DC, che hanno come protagonisti i noti supereroi delle pagine DC Comics. Il crossover di quest’anno includerà anche il debutto di Batwoman (interpretata da Ruby Rose).

Excuse me while I fangirl for a moment: I am so excited (thank you Warner Brothers, the CW, DC Comics, @gberlanti, @davidrapaport, Jessica Queller et al) to be playing the iconic Lois Lane on the Arrowverse crossover episodes. And I can’t wait to work with my friend @dpanabaker and of course @tylerhoechlin 😉 When I started acting, one of my teachers asked me to watch the screen tests for the role of Lois Lane for 1978’s Superman. All of the actresses were terrific, but it was always clear to me why Margot Kidder won the role: she seemed lit from within, full of joie de vivre. Now, at a time when the noble profession of journalism feels under siege, it’s a privilege to join the club of actresses who have played the dogged reporter. As far back as 1938 when she first appeared in Action Comics #1, Lois Lane has defied and subverted society’s expectations of how women should behave. She was portrayed as opinionated, inquisitive, and an unapologetically badass career woman at a time when many representations of women leaned more towards meek and demure. One of the reasons the character has remained so compelling for the last 80 years is that she has all these formidable, strong-willed qualities, but she’s also vulnerable, romantic, and feminine. A truly modern woman. ❤️

Ecco cosa ha da dire l’attrice sul ruolo: “Sono così eccitata di interpretare l’iconica Lois Lane negli episodi crossover di Arrowverse. Quando ho iniziato a recitare, uno dei miei insegnanti mi ha chiesto di guardare i test per il ruolo di Lois Lane per Superman del 1978. Tutte le attrici erano fantastiche, ma per me era sempre chiaro perché Margot Kidder avesse vinto il ruolo: sembrava illuminata dall’interno, piena di gioia di vivere. Ora, in un momento in cui la nobile professione del giornalismo si sente sotto assedio, è un privilegio entrare nel club di attrici che hanno interpretato la tenace reporter.”

L’evento prenderà il via con The Flash domenica 9 dicembre e sarà seguito da Arrow lunedì 10 dicembre e si concluderà con Supergirl martedì 11 dicembre. Ogni puntata andrà in onda alle 20:00 (ET).
