Kevin Smith ha concluso di recente la produzione del reboot di Jay and Silent Bob. Nonostante ciò, il creatore continua a postare foto del dietro le quinte e video sulla realizzazione del film. Il regista e interprete ha sempre informato i fan dei progressi del film, condividendo anche recentemente alcuni aggiornamenti sul processo di montaggio – ha anche paragonato alcune scene cruciali del reboot a le corrispettive del film del 2001, Jay & Silent Bob… Fermate Hollywood!.

“Altre avventure in fase di montaggio! Sulla sinistra c’è un momento di #jayandsilentbobstrikeback, quando @jayandsilentbob scoprono che c’è un film #bluntmanandchronic. Accade al minuto 5:12. Sulla destra c’è un momento simile nel nostro nuovo film #jayandsilentbobreboot, quando #jayandsilentbob scoprono che ci sarà un reboot di #Bluntman e #Chronic. Questo accade al minuto 12:8. I sette minuti di differenza sono colmati da roba divertente che contribuisce allo sviluppo del film, ma comunque mi ci sono voluti 7 minuti in più per fare la stessa m**** che ho fatto 20 anni fa. E questa potrebbe essere la metafora perfetta sull’invecchiamento da post-produzione che farò mai” ha scritto Smith.

Il regista ha continuato a indicare delle differenze nelle immagini, preannunciando anche un altro easter egg: “Inoltre: guardate le differenze tra @jaymewes e me stesso nel 2001 e nel 2019 (E Allerta Easter Egg: guardate sopra la spalla di Jay e noterete la seconda apparizione di #captainmarvel nella nostra scena di Brodie“.
