Rampage: le riprese dell’arcade game con Dwayne Johnson inizieranno ad aprile

Ormai non è più un segreto il fatto che Dwayne Johnson sia l’uomo più “impegnato” di Hollywood. Quasi a cadenza mensile escono delle news che riguardano un suo prossimo e imminente progetto. Ormai i suoi mille impegni non si riescono nemmeno più a contare. Tra i più celebri che lo coinvolgono, possiamo menzionare Fast & Furious 8, Baywatch e Jumanj, che usciranno nelle sale cinematografiche quest’anno. Inoltre, interpreterà anche il malvagio  Black Adam per l’Universo Esteso DC.

Già quattro progetti in un anno per un attore sono notevoli, ma ci credete se vi diciamo che la sua agenda ne contiene molti altri? Non possiamo non far riferimento all’ennesimo progetto, e uno dei più intriganti dell’attore, ovvero Rampage.

Rampage: Dwayne Johnson annuncia l’inizio delle riprese ad Aprile

Rampage, che vede nel cast come protagonista Dwayne Johnson, è basato sull’omonimo video game e sarà diretto da Brad Peyton (San Andreas). Negli ultimi mesi la troupe è stata impegnata con i vari casting, tanto da riuscire ad assumere nomi importanti, come la nominata agli Oscar 2017 Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Jake Lacy (Girls) e Breanne Hill. Joe Manganiello e Marley Shelton sono attualmente in trattative per entrare ufficialmente nel cast della pellicola.

Ieri, Johnson ha condiviso una foto sul suo account Instagram, in cui lo vediamo insieme agli sceneggiatori, ai produttori e al regista, in una script session (sessione di scrittura) relativa al film. L’attore, inoltre, conferma che Rampage sarà, a tutti gli effetti, il suo prossimo adattamento, le cui riprese inizieranno ad Aprile.

Spent my Friday night at our Warner Bros offices in a 6hr script session with these rampaging rockstars. Our RAMPAGE (next movie I’ll make) writers, producers, director and star (occasionally me). Even though this took us deep into Friday night and we all have families and stuff to do – this kind of meeting is so critical to our movie’s success. Everyone’s instincts were firing on the highest of levels. My fav moment from this merciless 6hr meeting was when I shared with this group that there’s an equity and trust I’ve built with my audience that they trust me to take them on an epic ride, and always do our best to send them home happy. A very cool moment to see everyone’s eyes light and heads start to nod. To win on any level you gotta have teamwork and collaboration and cant thank everyone enough in this room for their energy and focus. You truly helped us move the needle. And Wendy Jane you’re Superwoman for your creative brilliance and putting up with all these asshole’s dumb guy jokes. Not me of course, I’m a gentleman. 😈 Next stop for me in my research – the Primate division at the Atlanta Zoo (my character’s a Primatologist & head of an anti poaching unit in Rwanda). L’attore vestirà i panni di un primatologo, a capo di un’unità anti-bracconaggio in Rwanda. Probabilmente il film sarà anche un’opera moralizzatrice nei confronti del trattamento degli animali.
