Ed in maniera ancora più sorprendente è stato stato confermato che Kevin Smith sarà showrunner della nuova serie sequel, Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

Da poco è stata rivelato anche il cast completo della serie. Tra i nomi annunciati, su tutti spicca quello di Mark Hamill, l’interprete di Luke Skywalker, che dopo aver dato voce a Joker, interpreterà un altro cattivo: stiamo parlando di Skeletor.

La Mattel Television produrrà la miniserie insieme al produttore esecutivo Rob David, il vicepresidente di Mattel TV e autore di He-Man: the Eternity War. Gli sceneggiatori sono Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), Tim Sheridan (Reign of the Supermen), Diya Mishra (Magic: l’Adunanza) e Marc Bernardin (Alphas). La Powerhouse Animation (Castlevania) supervisionerà l’animazione per la serie.
