BAFTA Awards 2023: Niente di nuovo sul fronte occidentale di Netflix guida le nomination

Il dramma sulla prima guerra mondiale Niente di nuovo sul fronte occidentale guida le nomination ai BAFTA Awards 2023 con 14 candidature. Il film Netflix è in lizza come miglior film, miglior film straniero, miglior regia, sceneggiatura non originale, attore non protagonista, colonna sonora, casting, fotografia, montaggio, design, costumi, trucco e parrucco, sonoro ed effetti visivi. Il film con il record di candidature nella storia dei BAFTA è Gandhi (1982), con 16 nomination.

Con 10 nomination ciascuno ci sono The Banshees of Inisherin di Searchlight ed Everything Everywhere All At Once di A24. Elvis di Warner Bros. segue con 9 candidature, mentre Tár di Focus Features ha ricevuto 5 candidature. Tutti e cinque i titoli sono nominati per il miglior film del 2023.

Quest’anno c’è una grande presenza di attori nominati per la prima volta (14 su 24), come Ana De Armas (Blonde), Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Austin Butler (Elvis), Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Brendan Fraser (The Whale), Paul Mescal (Aftersun) e Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All At Once).
