Golden Globes 2024: le nomination

Svelati i candidati di questa edizione dei Golden Globes, i primi dopo il turbolento periodo dei premi cinematografici e televisivi.

Sono state rivelate le nomination per i Golden Globes 2024. In diretta dal Beverly Hilton, Cedric the Entertainer e Wilmer Valderrama hanno annunciato i candidati per il premio cinematografico e televisivo, che negli ultimi anni ha dovuto affrontare diversi intoppi, tra scandali e mancanza di una rete (qui un pratico riepilogo della situazione).

Tra le novità per il 2024 troviamo due nuove categorie: una dedicata al migliore film al box office e l’altra per la miglior interpretazione in una stand-up comedy. Il premio per il miglior risultato cinematografico e al botteghino vede in lizza otto candidati scelti tra i film che hanno ottenuto “un incasso al botteghino totale/lordo di 150 milioni di dollari, di cui 100 milioni di dollari devono provenire dal botteghino nazionale degli Stati Uniti, e/o con un numero proporzionato di spettatori in streaming digitale”, hanno affermato i Globes questo autunno, all’annuncio della nuova categoria.

I Golden Globes del 2024 saranno i primi senza la Hollywood Foreign Press Association, sostituita in seguito all’acquisizione di tutti i beni, i diritti e le proprietà dell’HFPA da parte della Dick Clark Productions ed Eldridge. Poiché i premi non sono più supervisionati dall’HFPA, un nuovo gruppo di elettori – eterogeneo per razza ed etnia, composto da 300 giornalisti da tutto il mondo, in rappresentanza di 76 paesi – sta selezionando i candidati e i vincitori di quest’anno. Il mese scorso i Golden Globes hanno siglato un nuovo contratto di trasmissione con la rete CBS, dopo aver concluso il suo rapporto di lunga data con la NBC.

L’81esima edizione dei Golden Globe Awards andrà in onda in diretta dal Beverly Hilton su CBS e in streaming su Paramount+ domenica 7 gennaio 2024. Deve ancora essere annunciato un conduttore per la serata di premiazione.
