Gli Screen Actors Guild Awards 2021 sono stati annunciati in live streaming da Lily Collins (Mank, Emily in Paris) e Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Snowpiercer) sulla pagina Instagram dei SAG Awards, dopo alcuni intoppi tecnici.

I film che sono stati nominati per il loro cast sono Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Minari, One Night in Miami e The Trial of the Chicago 7. In gara per il premio come miglior attrice protagonista troviamo Amy Adams, Viola Davis, Vanessa Kirby, Frances McDormand e Carey Mulligan; mentre per il premio come miglior attore si sfideranno Riz Ahmed, Chadwick Boseman, Anthony Hopkins, Gary Oldman e Steven Yeun.
