People’s Choice Awards 2024, Barbie eletto film dell’anno: tutti i vincitori

Domenica sera sono stati assegnati i People’s Choice Awards 2024. Simu Liu, nominato per la sua interpretazione di uno dei Ken in Barbie, ha presentato la serata. Tra i grandi vincitori c’è, ovviamente, la Barbie di Greta Gerwig, il film fenomeno che ha vinto il premio per il film dell’anno e per la miglior commedia. Le star del film Ryan Gosling e Margot Robbie hanno vinto come star del cinema maschile e femminile. America Ferrera ha vinto il premio come miglior interpretazione cinematografica dell’anno. Insomma, una grande serata per Barbie che, fino ad ora, era rimasta a bocca asciutta in questa stagione dei premi (come recentemente accaduto ai Bafta Awards). Vero, i People’s Choice Awards non sono nemmeno sullo stesso livello, però sono i premi più “popolari”, in quanto è lo stesso pubblico a votare da casa, e qualcosa dovrà pur significare.

Adam Sandler ha ricevuto il People’s Icon Award durante lo show introdotto da Jennifer Aniston. Salendo sul palco, Aniston ha descritto Sandler con tenere parole, definendolo un “fratello” e “uno degli amici più fedeli che potresti mai avere”. “Essere sua amica è stata una delle più grandi gioie della mia vita”, ha detto l’attrice. Per quanto riguarda la TV, Grey’s Anatomy ha vinto come show dell’anno, mentre Only Murders in the Building di Hulu ha vinto come migliore serie comica. The Last of Us si è aggiudicato il premio come miglior serie drammatica e il suo protagonista, Pedro Pascal, è stato eletto come icona televisiva dell’anno.
